We provide comprehensive legal services for scientific institutions with special reference to the research institutes and scientific institutes of the Polish Academy of Science, including inter alia the realisation of projects carried out under scientific grants, the establishment of scientific consortia and providing legal advice thereto, process of obtaining rights or granting licences for use of scientific inventions, acquisition of patents and commercialisation thereof. We help our Clients with regard to employee issues, intellectual property rights and contractual or non-contractual obligations.

We have experience regarding the establishment of universities, including universities of state services. We prepare statutes and other regulations based on the new act – Law on higher education and science, the so-called Act 2.0. We draw up and give opinions on draft agreements, prepare legal opinions and provide ongoing legal advice to bodies of universities. 

We implement and analyse personal data protection scheme functioning in science institutions in order to meet the requirements laid down under Regulation on the protection of natural persons. We identify risks and potential hazards regarding the processing of personal data and we give recommendations related to implementation of appropriate safeguards. Furthermore, we prepare and adjust documentation connected with processing of personal data, i.e. safety policy, IT system management instructions, internal procedures and policies.
